Safehaven provides compassionate care to over 200 children, youth, and adults with complex medical needs every year through residential, transitional (hospital-to-home), and respite programs. Many of the children and youth in their programs spent much of their early lives in hospitals before finding a permanent home at Safehaven.
With Safehaven, these extraordinary kids have the chance to embrace the joys of childhood—forming friendships, exploring new activities, and creating cherished memories—all while receiving the specialized medical care they need to thrive.
Through a transformative $100,000 gift from the Krawczyk Family Foundation, Safehaven is launching a new palliative care program. This gift will allow children to spend their final days in the comfort of the place they call home, surrounded by the love of their friends, family, and trusted caregivers.
