Many people in the GTA who experience poverty and homelessness are without access to primary healthcare. A $200,000 gift from The Krawczyk Family Foundation is directly contributing to improved accessibility, enhanced medical services, and better overall care for those who depend on Scott Mission.
To meet the growing need for health care and address the physical limitations of its space, such as limited accessibility for clients with mobility issues, inadequate privacy for sensitive consultations, and emergency access limitations, Scott Mission is expanding its Spadina Avenue men’s health clinic. The new, expanded facility, which will be five times larger, will provide essential accessibility for seniors. It will now also serve women and children. This will enable Scott Mission to deliver more comprehensive care to four times as many shelter and respite clients.
