Ma’mo’weh Wii’soo’ka’tiwin Foundation: Changing Lives through the MWG Youth & Family Wellness Camp

The Krawczyk Family Foundation’s transformational $10 million gift to the Ma’mo’weh Wii’soo’ka’tiwin Foundation is expanding access for Indigenous youth and families to year-round land-based, therapeutic, and recreational programming in Kenora, Ontario.

Grounded in Anishinaabe teachings and led by community staff, Elders, and Knowledge Keepers, MWG Youth & Family Wellness Camp is transforming the lives of Indigenous children and youth by building confidence, resilience, and cultural pride. The camp also fosters unity and connection, bringing together Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities in the spirit of healing and reconciliation. In 2024, it welcomed more than 15,000 participants, including youth campers, school groups, and local families. The camp is operated by the Kenora Chiefs Advisory member First Nations.
