RAVEN: Transforming Environmental Justice for Indigenous Nations

RAVEN (Respecting Aboriginal Values and Environmental Needs) is a non-profit charitable organization that raises funds for Indigenous Nations to bring forward legal challenges to protect land, air, and water for future generations.

The Krawczyk Family Foundation’s $2M donation will create lasting change on Turtle Island and beyond and sustain strategic legal challenges before the courts. This includes a Treaty-rights challenge in Ontario’s vast peatlands that aims to protect what Indigenous plaintiffs call the Breathing Lands: an area as significant to the Earth’s cooling system as the Amazon rainforest.

The gift will enable RAVEN to support new and existing Indigenous partners, uphold and extend Indigenous Nations’ rights, and leave a legacy of vital environmental protections for future generations.
